Suggest a Purchase to the Library
The Tacoma Public Library welcomes suggestions of books, DVDs, CDs for the Library’s collection. Unfortunately, the Library cannot purchase all recommended titles. Your suggestion will be evaluated based upon the Library’s collection development policies and current budgetary constraints.
In the case of books and audio books, if the library purchases your suggestion, we will automatically place a hold for you. In the case of music CDs and DVDs, the library will not automatically place a hold. It is the responsibility of the patron to place a hold once the item is available in the catalog. Unfortunately, due to the number of purchase suggestions we receive, we cannot notify you when items are not selected for purchase.
To suggest a purchase, please contact any of our library branches either in person, by telephone, or by filling out the form below. Please check the Library Catalog before submitting this form. If you need help, Ask a Librarian or contact our Telephone Reference at (253) 292-2001.
